慢性消耗性疾病是唯一一种在野生和圈养鹿群中共存的朊病毒病,又称可传播性海绵状脑病。该病的病原在中枢神经组织和外周组织中大量富集。病鹿的组织、体液及排泄物污染环境,从而实现该病在鹿群中的水平传播。截至到目前,该病已从最初的美国蔓延至加拿大、韩国、挪威和芬兰。虽然没有直接证据表明慢性消耗性疾病可以感染人类,但是该病对非人灵长类的感染能力提示我们应提高警惕。本文从病原学、宿主、传播途径、预防控制措施等方面综合评价了慢性消耗性疾病的实验室生物安全特点。
Abstract:Chronic wasting disease(CWD)is a type of prion disease presenting both in farmed and free-ranging cervids,also termed transmissible spongiform encephalopathy.In CWD,a beta-sheet-rich insoluble protein(PrPSc)can be found in brain and extraneural tissues.Tissues,body fluids and excreta from infected animals can contaminate the environment,which facilitates horizontal transmission.CWD has an impressive expansion and the disease has been reported in North America,South Korea,Norway and Finland.Although there is no direct evidence that this disease can infect human,we still need to pay attention since non-human primates have been experimentally transmitted.Here we will evaluate the laboratory biosafety in CWD management by introducing the pathogen,host,transmission properties and biosafety control strategies of this disease.
