侯云德院士在医学病毒学研究和基因工程药物研发方面取得了巨大成就,是我国现代医药生物技术产业的引领者和实践者。2018年1月8日上午,中共中央、国务院在北京隆重举行国家科学技术奖励大会。中共中央总书记、国家主席、中央军委主席习近平亲自向2017年度国家最高科学技术奖的获奖者,中国疾病预防控制中心病毒病预防控制所侯云德院士颁发奖励证书。侯云德,男,1929年出生,江苏常州人,1994年当选中国工程院院士,现任"艾滋病和病毒性肝炎等重大传染病防治"科技重大专项技术总师。作为著名的病毒学教育家,侯云德院士桃李满天下,他培养了一大批我国病毒学研究及传染病预防控制领域的优秀带头人。侯云德院士是一位忠于祖国、勇于创新、德才兼备的科学家,他一直专注于我国的科技创新和防病事业,他的科研成果已经根植于祖国大地和人民健康。作为新时代的疾控工作者,要以侯云德院士为榜样,在健康中国战略的指引下,不忘初心再出发,砥砺前行,为全民健康做出更大贡献。这项荣誉的获得不仅是对89岁高龄但依然坚守传染病防控事业的侯云德院士杰出工作成就的肯定,更是对我国疾控工作和事业的高度认可,让全体疾控人员深受鼓舞。

Academician HOU Yunde has made great achievements in medical virology and genetic engineering drug development.He is a leader and pioneer in modern medical biotechnology industry in China.In the morning of January 8,2018,the Central Committee of CPC and the State Council held the National Conference for Science and Technology Awards in Beijing,China.Xi Jinping,General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee,President of the People's Republic of China and Chairman of the Central Military Commission presented the award certificate to Academician HOU Yunde from the National Institute for Viral Disease Control and Prevention(NIVDCP),Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention,the winner of the 2017 State Supreme Science and Technology Award.HOU Yunde,male,born in 1929 in Changzhou,Jiangsu Province,China,was elected as an academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering in 1994 and is currently the chief technology officer of the Major Science and Technology Project on the prevention and treatment of major infectious diseases including AIDS and viral hepatitis.As a famous educator in virology,HOU Yunde has trained a large number of students all over the world,many of them have become excellent innovators and leaders in virology research and infectious disease prevention and control in China.Academician HOU Yunde is a patriotic and innovative scientist who has both political integrity and professional competence.He has been focused on the scientific and technological innovation in disease control and prevention in China.People all over the country are benefit a lot from his scientific achievement.Practitioners in Chinese disease control in the new era should take Academician HOU Yunde as an example,carry on the Healthy China initiative,remain true to our original aspiration,keep our mission firmly in mind,push ahead and make more contributions for protecting people's health.This award not only celebrates the outstanding achievements of Academician HOU Yunde,who,at the age of 89,still works tirelessly for the disease prevention and control,but also gives high credit to the performance of the related institutions of disease control in China and encourages all professionals who pursue this career.
